Leading in Quality Care: Vecino Health Centers has been recognized as an HRSA Health Center Quality Leader for five consecutive years. In 2024, Vecino earned Silver Status, ranking in the top 30% of health centers nationwide—one of only three in Harris County to earn this distinction.

A Federally Qualified Community Health Center (FQHC): Vecino Health Centers is a Health Center Program grantee under 42 U.S.C. 254b and a deemed Public Health Service employee under 42 U.S.C.(g)-(n).
This health center receives HHS funding and has Federal PHS deemed status with respect to certain health or health-related claims, including medical malpractice claims, for itself and its covered individuals.
