Dr. Zeerak A. Qureshi joins the primary care team at Vecino’s Denver Harbor Family Clinic
Please join us in welcoming Dr. Zeerak A. Qureshi to the primary care team at Vecino’s Denver Harbor Family Clinic.
Dr. Qureshi completed her residency at Southern Illinois University – Decatur and attended medical school at American University of the Caribbean School of Medicine, where she was active in the American Medical Student Association (AMSA). She is fluent in Urdu/Hindi.
“I’m thrilled to join Vecino’s Denver Harbor Family Clinic,” says Dr. Qureshi. “Working with underserved communities was an important part of my medical training, and I will get to continue that work at Vecino.”
An Interest in Elder Care and Diabetes Education for Underserved Populations
Dr. Qureshi’s professional and research interests include elder care and patient education for diabetes and hypertension. During medical school, she was active in initiatives to increase patient screenings and education for underserved populations in St. Maarten. Currently, Dr. Qureshi is completing a research project examining whether physician education increases HPV vaccination rates.
